A stopover in Collioure
I did not know what to do on that day in March, the time was frozen under the clouds from the sea. I did not know what to do because nothing seemed happy in the falsely open world. I wanted to come and go here knowing that my return home was imminent. So this quest seemed quite impossible and yet here it was, in one place, went off like a journey. The time of a morning here is like a film that is both slow and full of surprises.
My ride took me from the sea to the land. From the work of nature to the immense and inimitable nature. Here life is found everywhere, even in the finesse of a crack in a rock, struck by the waves.
Between winter and spring, I looked at each street like a painting and finally, I plunged into a time that seemed to be a memory of the past.
I didn't know where I was because I was looking through the viewfinder. Today, every photograph reminds me of a slower time, a time that respects everything in life.
This series is indeed a discovery of a place that I know well. I have walked these streets, this coast for several years in a row and yet this time I do not know what attracted me, but my eyes are caught here and there. The photographs that I took of them carried me far into a historical and sweet imagination.
